The stupidity of WWE continues to amaze me
For the last couple of months, Daniel Bryan has been a top notch heel. His annoying yes’, cowardice actions, overly proud proclamations of veganness, and his mistreatment of AJ Lee has made him a great heel. People don’t like him. They want to see him lose. THAT is the main goal in being a heel; Getting people to want to see you lose. All the great heels throughout history have done it. Ric Flair, Harley Race, Randy Savage, Vader, Triple H, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, etc. They all got the fans to want them to get their asses whooped. Daniel Bryan has them extremely well.
BUT
everybody knows that wrestling is predetermined so everyone has some smark in them. They understand how things work. So when you have this heel world champion lose the title in 18 seconds, it doesn’t sit well. It feels like the powers that be are saying “Well, you wanted to see him lose, so here!!” No. We want to see himbe cleanly outwrestled by somebody that we like. Thats what we want to see. When you disrespect the people that we have emotions for (face or heel), you’re force-feeding the audience something that isn’t real.
The true reactions of how we feel have been shown on Raw, where Sheamus were booed and the fans chanted “Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!” all night long. Again on Smackdown, the production crew had a heavy task of trying to mask the cheers that Bryan received. Even at a Miami Heat game, the “Yes! Yes! Yes!” chants have heard. Daniel Bryan may be becoming a star in direct spite of the WWE’s idiotic booking.

What the fans don’t want to see is that heel wrestler be disrespected. This may only extend into smarks, but honestly,
